14 May 10:15:01 AM	2009/10 - Val d’Isère really showed this winter why so many people hardly bother to ski anywhere else. The snow was fantastic right up until the end, on 2 May. The pistes were better groomed than ever, and neither the slopes nor the lifts felt crowded. John Yates-Smith
